Hello I'm Heather. I'm a motivator and facilitator in fitness, health and wellbeing through free-movement and play.
Free your mind by freeing your body. Fly free with me is an experience like no other, a unique and liberating, endorphin releasing journey, following your instincts and impulses through free-movement and play, outside in the environment, embracing and connecting with yourself and nature in all its beautiful forms, come rain or shine.
What is Fly free with me?
Free-movement
Inspired by the free movement of the birds, Fly free with me is a Brighton based, weekly class which involves participants moving their bodies freely, listening to their body and connecting both emotionally and physically through music and movement.
Through freemovement and play participants are encouraged to follow their instincts and move in a way which feels good to them, through this we become connected with our bodies and more focused in the present; freeing our mind by freeing our body.
Play
The play is found in the day. Every day is different. Keep our eyes open and the possibilities and opportunities around us for play start to open up and inspire games in the moment, and like a flock of birds; new directions, leaders and followers.
Start to fly and see the world from a new perspective
Why do we usually run in straight lines or dance indoors? Fly free with me encourages participants to break these social norms by running, dancing and moving the way they want to outside in public - any movement that takes you in the moment! The most important thing is to have fun and let go, to feel liberated and alive and to feel connected with your body, nature and those around you.
Ignite those senses - dance with the wind, feel the rain on your skin, smile with strangers, exchange the positive energy! Open those eyes and look to the skies! Hold our hands high and soar with the birds, the world is our playground.
Fly free with me is not target based, we are not counting calories or miles - we are just moving, and every time we move, something changes in us.
Fly free with me encourages us to focus on the joy of moving how we want to, and re-focus our approach to fitness, through new eyes.
What do I need to take part?
Fly free with me is designed for any level of fitness or ability. As this class is designed for participants to follow their own path and instincts, participants should bring their own music and headphones. They should also wear suitable clothing for exercise and movement such as trainers.
